this thing was GREAT. I bought it so allow me get a little closer to the action when taking videos of my kids soccer and basketball games. That part worked very good:-Just enough zoom to still see a good part of the field without overusing digital zoom.-It clips to the phone and stays on extremely well.Then on a trip, I dropped it from about 3 ft high unto soft ground that was covered with leaves (this was NOT a hard surface at all), and the next thing I know, the retainer ring and the main front lens popped out and got a bunch of dust on them. after that I put it back in, but couldn't screw the retainer ring on properly, so I just capped it for the remainder of the trip. That is when the worst damage occured: since the main lens was loose inside, it rattled around as I drove and rubbed against the cap. now the center of the lens has a very obvious rub mark in the center and the quality of the image is just horrible.The worst part is that I didn't pay attention to the return window and now it's too late to return it so that's 40 bucks down the drain.I would really like another one, but I hesitate to give my money to this company, that retainer ring shouldn't have come out so easily. I did not do anything to cause it to come out except that one minor fall. it seems to me that it was not screwed in properly to begin with.so there I am. out of money and with a useless lens.oh well, partly my fault... shoulda returned it as soon as the problem happened.

This lens does give a nice amount of optical zoom addition to a phone camera lens. However, two things keep it from being really good. First, it is difficult to keep it in place. Second, it causes everything on the periphery to be out of focus. It is a very solid lens that appears to be well-constructed.

All the photos I took using this were so blurry it was completely pointless. The photos looked better from far away (using my phone’s limited zoom) than when I used this. Some of the videos turned out ok. But overall I’m totally disappointed. And of course my return window ended 3 days ago!

The lens quality is awesome for the price. But the clip is not sturdy for action or mobility. It doesn't have sturdy strength to stay in place if you are moving about. Plus the fact that the clip only works with bare phone. Cannot use the clip on phones in protective casing. My rating is biased toward the lens. The clip gets 2 stars

Easy to use.

I was hoping that this extension could compensate for the iPhone 13 Mini's lack of a telephoto lens. I found the lens easy to use and to clip on. It seems solidly built. The only problem is that while the image is magnified a little with the lens, one can get a sharper image at the same magnification by just removing the lens and using the camera's digital zoom instead. To compensate, I then tried to use it with a free trial of a 3rd party camera app (Halide) to be able to control the focus. Nevertheless, I still got better results just using the native iPhone camera with digital zoom.

This is a wonderful add-on to my Iphone Xr. The lens does a super job of getting up close photos. Item was exactly as described, arrived in a timely fashion. Thank you for a smooth transaction!!
