Clinique Almost Lipstick Tinted Lip Balm in Black Honey and Pink Honey

Bought on a whim before a trip to bone ass dry mountains in Utah and shocked at how moisturized they kept my lips on a ski day! And not to mention soooo cute!Light enough texture to not notice you’re wearing anything but tinted to give you that kissable glow we all want!Longevity is pretty debate-able IMHO but lasts about as long as most glosses that aren’t meant to be permanent.No stickiness at all!Want to try the pink version next time. 😘

Update: 3/22/25 I've ben using this product for over a month now and it's lasted longer than the NARS brand. It's less expensive too. Bought two more so I keep one at home, one in my bag, and one in my office at all times. Works great and is LONG LASTING! *******I have 2 lip balm products that I use everyday, all day long. My go-to lip balm is NARS Afterglow but this is my 2nd favorite. I use both multiple times a day. My lips get dry year round and this balm does what it advertises. It's very moisturizing.I have two colors in this product. The pink honey color is extremely sheer so that there's just a hint of color with a slight shimmer. The black honey color is sheer but has a lot of pigment, so one swipe is sufficient to accentuate your natural lip color. I've noticed the black honey color sometimes deposit a concentrated dot of color every so often; just rub over it to blend.It's a lighter formulation than the NARS brand, so it works best for me indoors and I apply it frequently throughout the day, especially if I've been on numerous phone calls it helps keep my lips from chapping. Very happy with this product.

I was looking for stocking stuffers for my daughter, and ran across this, an old tried and true staple of mine, from my high school and college years. She’s a senior in college and quite the make up artist. So, it was a risk on my part, but I thought, why not? I loved this back in the day! She opened it and saw the depth of color was was… yeah, mom… I dunno. It is soooooo dark. I said, honey, that’s in the tube and it is buildable. Give it a shot, if you don’t like it, no worries. She set it aside and didn’t say anything else.A few days later.. MOM… MOM! MOM LOOK! And she had started to play with it and was one layer in and was, goodness, it DOES look good with my skintone. I really thought you’d missed on this, but I think it would look good with just about anyone ‘cause it is so sheer on first pass. I said, I’m sure you know this, but it is buildable color. And off she went and back she came after she added a layer and then another one. She ended up a convert and loves it, the color, the buildable sheerness to stronger color and it is now a staple for her. Just like it was for me. Not sticky, not messy, doesn’t dry out her lips. It was a winner of a stocking stuffer for not much expenditure!

Nice texture, and absolutely love the color. It kinda runs out quickly, but besides that it’s really good. It doesn’t have a scent nor a flavor.

This is the perfect lip and cheek tint. It lasts for a long time, and all day as a blush. But to be fair, even 24hr lip stains never last 6 hours for me. It's smooth and helps my chapped lips, and the color is incredible and natural looking. It's a deeper color than my natural lips but it's perfect. This is my everyday and it's buildable to be a deep enough color for special occasions. I wish I had this color for my wedding.

What's not to like about this great balm. It's a universally flattering color. It's goes on super smooth and feels great on your lips. I do have to reapply it, but I find I have to do that with most of my lip products. It just looks lovely on. I receive a lot of compliments when I wear it. It's a keeper!

I have read about this product for the last 2 years and finally purchased it. Such a beautiful product. The color looks dark in the tube but actually gives a very natural berry tint to the lips. More like a lip balm instead of a lipstick. My lips remain moisturized and soft for a couple of hours, but I reapply since I carry this in my purse. If you are looking for something soft and natural looking definitely give this a try. My daughter was a bride last week and she also wore it to the ceremony. Este Lauder makes wonderful products.

It won't let me give it 1 star, which is very suspicious.The lipstick is dry and seems like old stock. Not at all like the real Clinique Black Honey.I wasted my money on this.Don't buy it.
